'[OT: ] Testing with the right tags'

I totally agree and If there was any other way of accomplishing the goal of
low volume, high S/N ratio at the same time allowing people to get to know
each other and talk about many things. I would do it.

The issue has been discussed many times and given our current status, this
is about the best of the worst. "...terrible, but 8 times better than any
other..."

I'm glad to see you trying.

What about breaking the list into several lists based on breakdowns similar
to the current topic tags.  Then people can subscribe/unsubscribe to various
topic lists as they please and subject lines are irrelevant.

That makes it even harder for people to move threads that go off topic OUT
of the PIC list.

What about a second set of tags for topics that are'drifting' away from the
main strand but not enough to warrant an OT tag?

we could just ad an * as part of the tag or something similar

e.g [PIC*:]

Just a thought, I may be on the wrong track.
