No!  In my opinion the "Subject" you use to post your message (or reply) should be correct for what you are
saying.  If you have frayed the thread by taking it in a different direction from the original, you should
amend the tag and/or the rest of the subject to reflect what you're saying.  I don't do this as much as I
should, but I have this time!  :-)

The [OT:] tag means that the message is not PIC or EE (or whatever) related - it doesn't mean it's off the
topic of the original post.  It may well be, but it might just be another PIC-related topic, for example.
