Once had a helicopter land during a snow white out amongst three HF 1kw
rombic aerials while the aerials where transmitting.
He missed every thing but got a freight when the situation was explained
to him :-)

Many years ago I used to live by a crossroads, at the
top of a hill. One night a helicopter (not at all
silent!) hovered quite low over the house for some time,
and swung its Night Sun onto the road name-plates, and
then flew off - we reckon it was lost! :-)

Which one, the one that is flying to cover the area or the one that has
already landed and is disgorging a swat team ?

It's OK - here we mostly use big green ones.
(The ancestors of the Huey Cobra before they lost most of their weight and
became slim and mean.)
I keep a black helicopter on a side table in my dining room.
Impresses / scares visitors no end.
Flies rapidly to ceiling and then skates along ceiling on its rotors for a
variable period before leaping floorwards randomly.
Not in the same class as our big green ones alas.

Jobs come and go in this here high technology field. It is
comforting to think that black helicopter maintenance is probably a
growth industry. I'll have to wait and listen to see if the voices
give me the address to apply for one of those jobs if times get tight.
