Now if only they could do something similar with 15V input they would make a
mint.

Well, for a start they could put a hole in it

No, you only get that option with the ones that have let the smoke out.

Love that DFN package. If it only did buck-boost.. oh, and was cheap.

Then you haven't seen the switching one followed with an LDO in the
same package. It's a Maxim one, but I don't remember now which one. :(

Maybe my humour was a tad obscure. Let me explain.....

(but that's enough messing with tags for today)

Thanks for the regulator reference BTW

Yeah, I got your reference to "Lifesavers, the mint with the hole" OK.

>Thanks for the regulator reference BTW

Yeah, well I figured it was a neat idea for a part, if only it had a higher
input voltage it would be a heap more useful. I hadn't seen the part that
Vasile mentioned though.

I don't know why some of my emails arrive here, some other not.
Mostly those which I add tags (when I try to reply, tags dissapears).
The chip I was talking about  is like MAX8550 but it's without
external transistors.

OK, I will have a look at that.

I have seen your test emails. I cannot think of any reason for the tag to
disappear.
