As most of you likely know, TI held a design contest with it's MSP430 chip.
The winner was a "pocket scope" which is actually a DSO, function generator,
logic analyzer, etc. It's actually very impressive looking:

Very nice!

However:
  1) Where's the source code?  He's actually taken pains to make it
      unavailable, including using strong encryption in the bootloader.

  2) Where can I buy one?

I didn't get that far. Interesting indeed.
The source code in C "shouldn't be that complicated" considering it's a 16
bit device to begin with doing simple lookup tables and things like FFT
