Does anyone here have a suggestion for a decent power supply under $300?
I'm looking for something that can do at least 60V and 3A.

$300 sounds high for a 180W power supply.  Check Jameco, they have a very
good selection.

Try www.mpja.com/productview.asp?product=9333+PS
It's a dual isolated 0-30@3A plus a fixed 5@3A.  The 30s can be
switched via front panel pushbuttons into series for a 0-60@3A
or parallel for a 0-30@6A.  I just got one ($179) and it works
pretty much as advertised.

Now if only I could find a good one with ANALOG current metering!

OK, I've settled on one of these three:

www.mpja.com/productview.asp?product=9333+PS
http://www.elexp.com/tst_0053.htm
http://www.elexp.com/tst_p603.htm

I did check Jameco, and they had the same supplies as elexp.com but were
nearly twice the price.

Any last minute opinions?

How about surplus places? I got one of mine from such a place, an old
Behlman-Invar, and those older units often have analog meters (like mine
has).

I got 4-5 of these in my shop. I only use a few of them.  If  you want to
buy used I would part with 2?  No scratches of dings.  I can provide photos.
Say $120 ea. plus shipping from So Ca.?
