FWIW, I've posted some advice and opinions about designing PCBs
so that they'll be easier for hobbyists to fabricate, in the form
of a tutorial about modifying EAGLE Design Rules, over at
http://www.instructables.com/ex/i/E8C98D522C771029BC6B001143E7E506/

Hi Bill the instruction look useful.

Can I download your instructions as a separate file?

Or do you have a web site with the instructions.

Maybe a PDF or word file.

Ah.  That would be one of the problems with "instructables", I guess.
Not very savable (or even printable last I tried.)

It was created originally as a web page, and the zip of all the files
is about 1/4 the size of the pdf I managed to create, so you can get
it here:

http://homepage.mac.com/westfw/.Public/hobby-dru-for-eagle-webpage.zip

Uncompress in a directory and open the "hobby-eagle.html" from a
browser...

It's missing some last minute editing and some of the instructable
features, but it should be ok...

Enjoy
