Does anyone know of any circuit for building a power inverter (12-24 VDC to 230 VAC)
A Pic supervisory circuit will be in control while monitoring at the same time. All I need is the power electronics part.

I built this one a long long time ago - no complaints

I didn't have time last night for these notes, but just in case
anyone wants this for reference

R1 (sense resistor) is a track 109mm x 19mm, pots are 10-turn
presets, o/p transistors are pretty heavily heatsinked

I've uploaded the overlay and PCB pattern (solder side), which
includes a cut-off portion that is R1. The edge connector includes
a shorting track for gold plating. This must be removed before
power-up of course. There are some brief set-up notes that I'll
do later today

For those who've asked, I've managed to find time to upload the
set-up procedure for the 12VDC-240VAC inverter as a 96k gif

If I may take a moment to explain why I hadn't managed to do this
before now - I'm a little reluctant but I know statistically this will
really help someone on the list or someone they know. And I think
it's a credit to the good people of the list and the relaxed dialogue
that we have on it that makes me feel comfortable enough to talk
about this, although I don't want to turn this into +ACI-Complaints Cornerr+ACI-

For several years I've battled against severe and chronic
agoraphobia and only in the last few weeks found a medication
that is very effective. In the past I've tried several classes of drugs,
none of which were very satisfactory, mostly because phobia treat-
ments are not generally well-known by GPs and, despite their best
intentions, they were just taking educated guesses. For example,
benzodiazepines are quite unsuitable yet that's what I was prescribed
twice. Now though, the more recent SSRIs (selective seratonin re-
uptake inhibitors) are specifically designed to break the anxiety cycle.
The particular one I'm on now is Aropax (paroxetine hydrochloride)
and it has made the absolute world of difference. It has given me a
leg up to begin de-sensitisation therapy (which has been occupying
my time lately) and I thank my new doc who went to bat for me and did
some research. To be able to move around without apprehension
again is a scary feeling in itself, but is far easier to cope with than
wobbly legs, sweats and palpitations. So, to those who've read this
far without asking +ACI-what's this crap all about ?+ACI-, thanks, and hope
you'll pass the information on

Good to hear you are doing well - this drug is known as Paxil here in Canada.

Glad you're making progress.

It's amazing how much our brains depend on the exact chemical balance.
Actually, I suppose it's amazing that they work at all really :)

Another reason to be glad that scientology dosen't rule the world.
They would forbid you these "psych drugs" and give you instead, hours of
expensive "auditing", which they claim is 100% effective, unless of course
you did it wrong, then you can repeat the course at your own expense till
it works (or till you get tired of it, and say it worked just to get them
off your back.)

Tis no fun at all - I was on Paxil for a period of time as an anti-depressant to deal with my wife's cancer.  Actually it was one of five or so I tried.  While most would relieve the depression they all have side effects - the most common being a severe decrease in sexual interest - maybe a better way to put it is that there is no interest.  So I have decided to become celebrant like my Father and his Father before him. (Hot Shots Part Deux).
Actually while there are side effects the over all result of these drugs are remarkable in their improvement in our quality of life.  I continue to take my anti-depressant 8 months after my wife's passing, but look forward to the day I when my brain rebalances and I will not need it.  I wish you the best of luck and continued improvement.

Right, and then once you had all of your personal engrams lifted, you could
start on the ones that had been passed on genetically.

Aside from that take care of yourself Jinx.  Nothing in the world more
important than your health and family.
