Hello,
I am a member of a local weather club and we set up temporary monitoring
stations when unusual weather fronts are coming in. As we don't like getting
wet (or hit with lightening) we retire to the cars (or Pub) and wait. It was
thought a good idea if we could send the info via SMS from a PIC into a GSM
phone (not using IrDa) to send to another phone.
I have an Ericsson GH888 phone and having looked at previous postings and
info on the web there is a unusual protocol used.

Does anyone have any info on this or sample PIC code.

Thanks for any info,
Bob.

Hi Bob,

We are digging the Net for such info also as now working on similar project
(sending data with PIC through SMS).
One useful site is http://www.gnokii.org
You can find cables info and open source for SMS send/receive.

Cheers
Tsvetan
