Helping a friend to find this chip, I search finchip and chidir.net, but no luck for SK nor Z2014. Anyone come across this chip? His mail as follow: any way to help find this IC? It is in a HP Laserjet 2200 (110V) that was blown when they plug into a 220V supply. I can't find a vendor called SK Japan but it was marked on the chip. SK JAPAN STR-Z2014 Thanks in advance. Try to search for Sanken, I think they had these kind of numbers for their switching regulator ICs some years ago. I guess now the STR devices are made by Allegro, but I'm not sure. That is a very interesting number. I have a Sony Stereo receiver/amplifier on the workbench at this time that has the model number of STR-D460Z. I just ordered a service manual for it, if it shows part numbers like that when it gets here I will advise. I have not got far enough along with the project to know if Sony replacement parts are available. Think should be Sanken, though could not find a 2014, but shall leave it to him to compare with the notes from the allegro and sanken sites with the actual device.
