I've recieved some PCB and SCH files, but I can't get in touch with the
sender. The extensions are DDF and SCH and the files are textual. Does
anyone know what program can open these?

UltiBoard uses a text file with a DDF extension for PCB and SCH
for schematic.
The DDF file shoulp start with a "*" and "P" followed by the
customer name and the next line has the version and revision
number.
Someone bought someone else and Ultiboard is now supplied with
the Electronic Workbench product so that may be able to read the
file. http://www.ultiboard.com
Be warned - I found the product to be unreliable (disconnects parts
of nets etc) and support was empty promises and large bills.
YMMV.
Steve.
