Hi Jinx,

Visited the site home.clear.net.nz/pages/joecolquitt/0bigsmt.html
and saw your interesting write-up on "Home-made Circuit Boards".

You have shown the schematic of the circuit for testing LCDs salvaged
from scrap equipment and mentioned about the PIC software to test the
LCDs to see whether they can accept data and commands.

I have a couple of LCDs removed from hand held video game boards and
would like to test them using a PIC.

If it is not proprietary stuff, can you share the PIC code? My idea is
to use my 16F628 to check the salvaged LCDs.

Thanks.

Regards,
Bala

Hi Bala, I could do that some time over the weekend, but there'll
be a heap of code available at http://www.piclist.com if you need some
right now, and plenty of listers reading this will have test code
they can offer

Oh, Dave Dave Dave. I foresee some very cold and lonely
nights for you in the NZ back country. A partnerless pariah
you will be. Drop me a line for a clue and we'll do something
about that partnerlessnessless. Don't forget your gumboots

Unfortunately customers have stolen all the time I'd been
meaning to put into my pages, my bad if it looks a little
half-done

Well it was nice to see a page that isn't like every other page
out there. I showed it to my wife Fluffy and she just couldn't
laughing, "BaaaBaaa Baa" she went on and on. Here in the
Great white north we call em "Nubbie Tuckers"  (wellies to
the Brits)

Cheers

Dave
