Hi All

I am trying to design a PCB for an irrigation computer in Protel 99SE, and encounter the following problem:  ""Add node D1-2 to GND - Error: Node not found".  This is pin 2 of Diode 1, which forms a bridge rectifier.  How can I rectify this?

Hi Chris,

That's a trap for the novice :) (it got me a few times)

You will probably find the schematic part for the diode has pins designated
"1" and "2", but the PCB footprint has then designated "A" and "K".

Basically you have to edit one of them so they match..

Hope that helps.
Ash.

Hello,

As what Graema said. Change all components with an
lettr/name ID(designator) to a number.
This will solve ALL this kind of issues.

This counts for as well the Schematic as PCB
components.
