'[EE]: Methane Sensor'

I sent this on Monday but not sure if I had goofed on something
but it seems to have gone bye bye somewhere.
Anyway I was wondering if anyone know of a solid-state methane sensor?
I was following the news about the trapped miners but all I found
with Google were a flame type sensor (however that works). Does
anyone have any info or links?

Hi Dave.
We all got it... but you had "EE" and not "[EE]" as the topic.
You will find all the responses at:

Thanks Rolf
Had been wondering if that might have been the problem and it was rejected.
I haven't seen any of those replies which is why I reposted. Weird.
Cheers

Dave,
Here's a company that we use:
http://www.citytech.com
We use some of their toxic gas and methane sensors.

I replied on Monday, and was "suggested" to have been wrong, but
I'm fairly certain I've heard of methane detectors used to activate
stink maskers in restrooms. IIRC, the surprise was that they were
able to make it cheap enough.
This was years ago, however, so the company involved may have
folded up and disappeared long ago.

You can also try http://www.intelligentgas.com.ar, I think their English page was
down, but I don't really remember. Their products are good, but I cant
really be a good parameter since I developed the device myself (they are
customers of my company).
The product on the web page is an old design (not mine), the new one is
fancier... :)

Methane sensors DO exists. In fact I have one right now with me. It also
detects CO, propane and other gases... oh, and also Alcohol.
