|actually, i wondered who was dumb enough to use isopropyl alcohol for
that, not the source of the statement which i would have assumed was law
enforcement. as for the "ethics" of those who sell bad drugs, i might
point out that law enforcement is in fact their best friend, and
allowing adults to be adults would remove the extreme profit motive
involved and allow some regulation, as well as freeing resources to
pursue REAL crimes like those who sell to kids, which is certainly bad
though i suspect that like most problems it's been exaggerated in most
places. there may be a few people selling crack to 3rd graders, but i'm
sure it's a very, very small number. lying about things also aggravates
the problem immensely, and many who don't think enough is being done
readily resort to lying, which tends to discredit anything they say and
trivialize both the problem and the audience.
