Hi guys, I currently have a project with a device that will be running from a battery. It will also have a USB port connected to one of the FTDI chips. So what I`m looking for is a DC-DC converter that will take from about 1.5v to 8v and provide me with a 3.3v output. If it can automatically switch to battery power when the USB is unplugged that would be great. So far I`ve been looking at some chips from MAXIM, looks like the MAX1700 could be suitable. Preferably I would like a plug in module with everything on board, I can`t help but think somebody must sell these e.g you put 1.5v to 8v in and get 3.3v out.
