I have a customer in England (West Yorkshire to be exact), that needs a product
that I sent to her fixed (pretty sure it's a broken DPDT switch).  Normally, I'd
have them send it back to me to be fixed, but I she says that the shipping is
costly (21 pounds, currency not weight) is too much for her to afford.  That,
and she thinks it will be taxed again when it comes back (screwy import laws
there).  I had sent her a replacement switch, with very detailed instructions on
how to replace and fix it, but she says that the local electronics repair people
cost even more than shipping it back to me would.

Fixing the power supply unit should only take all of ten minutes, and I can't
see her spending 32 pounds just for someone to even look at it (yes, that's what
she's been quoted).

Would anyone be interested in helping her out (or more to the point, help me
out, to help this customer).  Again, she can't afford to pay much, but the job
is really simple.

Contact me off list at spam_OUTpjlentTakeThisOuTspamrea-alp.com if you have the time and inclination
for this kind of "charity" work, and I'll send you her contact information.

Idea: Ask her to turn to a highscool (or whatever) electronic class i her city.
-They might do it as an excersice.
Or she may ask friends if they know somebody she can invite to coffee, barbecue or whatever...

BTW, I think that the quoted cost is what i hear of sometines, although myself only charge by hour.
