'[EE]: 48 pin LCC chip; how to use?'

Hi:

I have three 48-pin LCC chips (CMOS digital imagers) that I need
to connect to a circuit with hobiest level equimpment.

Does anybody make a socket that accepts a 48-pin LCC chip and converts
it to *something* I can use on a basic prototyping board?

I have searched the usual suspects (Digi-Key, Mouser, Jameco, and a few
others) and come up short. I even googled and couldn't find anything.

Any help will be appreciated.

   Emulation Technology (http://www.emulation.com) undoubtedly has
a 48-pin LCC-to-DIP adapter that will work for you, but their
   prices are usually outrageous.

EDI Corporation probably has a suitable adapter, too, and their
prices are generally MUCH cheaper than ET's.  I don't have a web
address for EDI, but their phone number is 702 735-4997.

   Good luck...
