I'm looking for a +/-5 V power supply. I'd like to be able to run it off a
12 V
battery, but at this point, even AC is an option.
No problem, you're saying. Dozens, pick one. Here's the problem: the
circuit
is EXTREMELY sensitive to supply noise. Right now we're using a $2000 lab
supply, which has <2 mV ripple. It works. I have managed to make a 5 mV
ripple regulator, but it still isn't good enough.
Has anyone any recommendations for me? Either something I can make, or
an OTS unit to buy?

Umm, I think the most important detail you left out is current
requirements, <2mV ripple is easy if all you need is 1mA! :) TTYL
