  I an building an ROV and require a flexible 12 gauge wire to provide
power to it, a cheap source would be good if possible. I need 300' of the
stuff.

How about car audio power wire?  Flexible and readily availible.

300' of 10 gauge is $93 at Parts Express:

You won't find a much cheaper retail source.  There's always eBay.

Call your local electrical distributor....ask for high strand count wire.  We use it all the time.  Also might try a welding supply house....they use it for welders also...to keep the wires from getting kinked.
