'[BUY] SMT 4017 needed in NZ'

I'm looking for 4017 / 74HC4017 SO16 and not having much
luck. Is there someone in NZ who has 50 for sale ?
So far I've tried
Active Components (MOQ 1000)
Arrow (NZ and Melbourne, MOQ 800)
Braemac, MOV $150 ( ~ 300 parts)
eBiz, none
ACD, none
Soanar Plus, none
RS, Farnell have them in one-offs at a horrible horrible price
TIA

Does that mean they have them in stock but you don't meet the MOQ ?
I was just about to order a reel of caps (about $95) from Soanar.
They're "belly-button" parts, so if want me to order the caps and your
IC's from Braemac to get over the MOV, that's no problem. I have an
account there.
If so, just let me know the full part number. Could you also check that
they have a reel of 0805 100nF 50V X7R available.

Who are they ?
Steve.

My mistake - NZ$110

They don't have them in stock and would need to buy in. I've
checked, and if the total order is > $110 then that can include
any quantity of 4017. All subject to availability
I've had a look at their site, http://www.braemac.com.au and
almost wish I hadn't. Because I've just sorted out all my orders
to people sorted out and now there's a new crowd to price out,
and I don't know if I can be bothered getting a whole new set
of prices. Braemac not having things in stock is a bit of a worry,
but if they can get 50 x 4017s then I'll give them a go

Braemac don't have or can't find 100nF 0805. They found 0612,
3000 reel, no stock, MOQ 1200, 0.20c (to me)

Very handy (unless you want 4017s that is). A friend of Russell's put me
on to them. Useful when you need just a few dozen or a few hundred (or
only one !) SMD. Other place's reel prices are good, but you don't always
need 3000, 4000, 5000 or want to have 4900 left over

I suspect DSE has very little in SMT. The only thing I've seen
remotely like SMT was a customer who fell on the floor

Well, I'll look into it but that's ~3-4x what I'd hoped to pay
I *could* use DIP, not that stubbornn, which would give me the
hump greatly, as everything else is SMD and the PCB would
need re-doing
Thanks for taking the trouble to reply
Have to say this goose-chase for a common part has me a
little disappointed, when I can get other 4000 easily

Hi Jinx,
I would have also suggested http://www.smd.net.nz/
They have many "popular" SMD parts, and they specialise in selling mall
qttys. Just checked it and suprisingly they don't list the 4017, but it might be
worthwhile asking them to introduce it as a stock item.

It's a real nuisance. Don't know why it's not stocked anywhere
here (that I've found yet). I'd like to be optimistic and hope that
one of my enquiries will get a result but think I'll just have a quiet
harumph to myself and reluctantly go with DIP. I'll lay out two
sets of pads, a big SMT with an SO16 inside it, then at least I
can get on with the board
