'[AD]: Electronic Components'

List Members,

I am cleaning out my garage to make room for some new equipment, and I
have a somewhat large amount of components that I have acquired over the
years.   Most of it is new (old stock), but some is used.  I have no place
to store it any longer and since I haven't used much of it for a while,
I've decided to give it a new home.

So, with that said, does anyone have room for some components?   If they
do, let me know.  I'll give the stuff away to those who want it.  The only
caveat is that I would prefer you to come to my house and pick it up.  I
will ship it to you if you're from out of town, but you have to pay the
shipping charges, and whatever costs I incur to package it up for shipment.

I'm in Richmond, Texas, a suburb of Houston.  If you're interested, let me
know off line and we'll work something out.

I don't have a list of everything included, but there are the usual parts
like transistors, IC's, Ribbon cable, small power bricks, etc. etc.
I don't plan on making a list of everything in there either as it would
take more time than I'm willing to spend doing it.  Beside, the stuff is
free,  so why be picky.

I'll have the stuff available probably either this weekend or next weekend.
It just depends on when the new equipment is due to arrive.

Let me know.

                                             Thanks and Regards,

                                                    Jim

Hmmmm, taking your treasures would force me to prune my stuff but then I'd
still have a full garage.

Can you recommend a 12 step program to just clean out the garage without
replacing it with different stuff?  :-)

Where's the fun in that?  I've solved the problem (or at least postponed its effects...) by renting a storage space about
10 minutes' drive from home.  But what I really need is a bigger house, with a hobbies wing!

just one step, but it's a pretty drastic one.....just put the wife in
charge of cleaning it up! :-)

A lot of hams, myself included, seem to be subscribing to "when you can pry
it from my cold dead fingers".
:)

As it happens, I'm shuffling stuff around in here today, trying to make some
sense of it.

It does not make any difference how mch room you have, it will fill up fast!
I am finally free of most vacuum tube parts and equipment.
Solid state stuff out of the 70's is going to the landfill now...

1. We admitted we (Hams) were powerless over parts hoarding,
And that our parts become unmanageable.

2. Came to believe that a power greater than ourselves (Wife, SO) could
restore us to sanity.

3. Made a decision to turn our parts over to the care of a fellow ham.

My house is a hobbies house -- one of these days I plan to get a bedroom
wing! :-)

Well, I went a different way, bought two houses. One is the office.
Works for me!
