'[EE]: Removable memory chip'

I saw an advertisement with a postage-stamp size flash part the other day.  I
don't know the application, but I'm guessing digital cameras.

I would like to find info on these memory devices:  capacity, mfg's, source,
NAME!, connectors, interfacing, etc.

Also, are there format standards for storing data in them?  I would like to be
able to quickly get the data from my data logger into my PC for analysis.  It's
gotta be quicker than 230kbps.

Thanks.

Andy

That sounds like the Multimedia Flash card from Sandisk (http://www.sandisk.com)

They have an SPI interface via a 7 pin connection. We are currently using
the 16MB version.

They also produce compact flash.
