I have a problem programming the PIC16F877A. I am using the P16PRO hardware and picallw software. I became the same error again and again: "Verify Error".

I have verified the supply voltage, it's OK (5V), the programming voltage (13V) its OK too, I soldered two capacitors (each of 330nF) to RB7 and RB6, the RB6 10 kOhm resistor, I have changed to a 1kOhm, but still nothing, I changed the three bc557 transisitor, changed the 74ls05, I think I had tryed everything, but it don't want to work and it is very very annoing.

Please, if you can give me some hints how to make to program this pic, please contact me.
I realy have arrived to the end of my knowledge, I never met this kind of problem till now in my life. I don't know what kould it be.
Hoping that we will find a way to solve this problem, i thank you for you attention.
Best regards,

I just recently ran into this same problem and someone
helped me fix it.  Here's how I setup for ICSP with my
16F877A:

1. MCLR/Vpp connected to Vdd through a 100k resistor
and a diode (to block the 12V from getting to the
Vdd).

2. PGD is a direct connection to my programmer.

3. Here's where my problem was; PGC.  The clock line
needs some capacitance.  What I do is put a 0.01uF
capacitor from PGC to ground right next to the PIC.  I
guarantee this will fix your problem.

4. PGM tied directly to programmer if it has this pin,
otherwise, make sure it's grounded during programming.

I know this setup works, I don't know exactly what
you've got going on there, but I can almost guarantee
that if you put a little capacitor on the PGC line to
ground your problems will disapear.

Good luck.  Cheers

Another tip: Make sure chip isn't protected, and remember if supply voltage
is off by more than 0.5v it won't perform the bulk-erase...
I had this problem once where the chip simply ignored the erase due to 0.1v
too low voltage.

Those capacitor values (330nF) sound about 1000 times too big.  Try 330 pF
instead.
