James Newton[JMN-EFP-786] Says

From Glen (paraphrased):
Victor was a native of Miami, Florida.

He was a bit older than the typical college student when he entered Asbury College, and so he directed the college band while working on a bachelor’s degree. That is where he met his wife Margaret (Mickey) and her sister Dorothy and husband Roy.

In the early 1900’s, Vic played in <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arthur_Pryor">Arthur Pryor’s</a> band.

They then moved to Rio De Janeiro where he became headmaster at EARJ (<a href="http://www.earj.com.br/">American School of Rio De Janeiro</a>). His wife, Margaret Moore, taught many piano students there. They (and their son Larry) spoke very highly of the school and the cultural experience of life in Rio.

Later they moved back and lived the rest of their lives in Miami.

Do you know anything about the performance of the E09A54RA DAC you used? I am debating whether to use the no spec Epson part like you did or roll my own DAC + amplifier setup. My amplifier design ended up being physically large, expensive, and has 15Mhz analog bandwidth with sort of high output impedance at .2 ohms. I just don't know how this compares to the epson part.</BLOCKQUOTE>

The Apache Hadoop software library is a framework that allows for the distributed processing of large data sets across clusters of computers using simple programming models. It is designed to scale up from single servers to thousands of machines, each offering local computation and storage. Rather than rely on hardware to deliver high-availability, the library itself is designed to detect and handle failures at the application layer, so delivering a highly-available service on top of a cluster of computers, each of which may be prone to failures.

It can access diverse data sources including HDFS, Cassandra, HBase, and S3. Write applications quickly in Java, Scala, Python, R. Run programs up to 100x faster than Hadoop MapReduce in memory, or 10x faster on disk.
